This wedge shaped pendant is created by interlacing thin silver sheet imported from Italy with black, neo-lavender, amber, French vanilla, sea blue, Egyptian blue and clear art glass. Many of the color variations are a result of the colorants in the glass reacting to each other and the silver. Subsequently, it undergoes firing in a kiln to transform it into a truly distinctive and captivating piece of art glass. A 19” black leather necklace and sleek gun metal finished bail are the finishing touches. I inscribed my name on the back with a diamond grinding bit. I work alone and I hand crafted each step of the process to create this distinctive pendant.

This kiln-formed, fused art glass has been individually hand made from Bullseye Art Glass. Bullseye Art Glass is a hand made and hand rolled art glass that is produced in Portland Oregon.
I combine the various colors of this glass with thin silver sheet to create the patterns and chemical reactions that happen when the glass is fired to the various temperatures for each stage of creating a piece of work. The multiple firings can range from 1100°F to over 1500°F. If the pieces need to be cut or refined, that will be done using a saw with a diamond blade and shaped with a diamond grinder. Some pieces may have gold or copper luster applied .
